IPC A-610 Certification For Specialist (CIS)
IPC A-610 Certification for specialists is a 3-day, lecture openly courses utilizing the text and images in the IPC A-610 inspection document to provide visual accept/reject criteria examples for all three classes of products. The IPC A-610 standard for the “The Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies”, is the most widely used inspection specification for the PWB assembly industry and is the basis for the class.
The IPC 610 standard will be covered in its entirety for a full certification to all modules with certifications to only those applicable to the business available as well. As an option, we can also instruct a customized version to multiple students requiring specific knowledge. As part of the requirements for IPC certification, IPC A-610 CIS candidates must score at least a 70% on each exam.

How long does it take?
The IPC CIS initial certification to the full 610 standard takes 3 days or less.

IPC A-610 Certification is full of an abundance of knowledge on how to look up anything in the standard as well as how to apply the standard. Successful participants walk away with a 2-year industry credential. It is helpful that students have familiarity with component identification and ESD principals as well as having a 5th grade or better reading/writing skill level when enrolling in this class.
